As you walk through the markets looking for a nice new Steelthorn, Surge, Military fork, or other piece of equipment, you are sure to find a Tradesman doing the same. Tradesmen are known for their prowess in trade, rather than combat. We work for the thrill of a great trade, purchase, or sale. Because of our desire for trade, you will often find good, honest deals from Tradesmen. A Tradesman seeks to advance his wealth through trade instead of the long search for lost treasure.
This is by no means to say that you would never see a Tradesman embarking on a treasure hunt. Some Tradesmen actually prefer to search for their wares, then return safely to the markets to offer them for sale. Some of the greatest treasure hunts recorded have been adventures of Tradesmen restocking for future sales. We seek little from treasure hunting other than the sale of whatever we find, and are unlikely to keep anything from our hunts, for long.
On the other hand there are Tradesmen who almost never leave the markets. Sometimes called “market dwellers”, they very well may seem to live in the markets. Great marketers and masters of trade, these Tradesmen hunt for treasure in the booths and carts of other market goers. Their greatest goal is to find that one great deal in a sea of mediocre sales.
Even though we may seem a bit mundane, Tradesmen are actually the backbone of the entire Merchant Guild. Tradesmen are who keep the money flowing through our guild and sale the treasures we find on our great treasure hunts. Typically kind and respectful, we seek no glory or honors for our effects, just a few more coins in our pockets at the end of the day.
If you wish to join the ranks of the Tradesmen, contact one of us and we will point you down the right path.
