So you wish to be a Collector do you? You have gone about your life all wrong if you do. I have seen you, out in the market selling off the treasures you have found.
Allow me a moment to explain how the Collector lives and perhaps then you will see the error of your ways and truely know if the life of the Collector is the one for you.
A Collector travels the world over much the same as other Treasure hunters, however there is a very large difference : A Collector seeks out their treasures for the treasure itself.
Collectors are the members of the guild that are known best as the keepers of artifacts. They spends their time looking for treasure solely to keep it. They do not wish to sell the treasure they’ve recovered, but instead hold them close to them. Collectors wouldn’t necessarily hold all the items that they gather on a hunt but they would hold the items that they gathered themselves as well as the ones they paid others to retrieve.
Collectors usually have their own personal museums where they will store their treasures. A secret place known only to them which is opened only when making a new deposit. One would expect a Collector to visit that place often, gleefully counting their treasures and surmising their worth. That is not the case however, for the Collector feels that others are after their valuables and a true Collector will not give them that opportunity. Sometimes they allow others in to view their collections but only with an invitation and never without an escort. They are prideful and protective of their treasures.
The guild also has its own museum that the Collectors watch over and take care of. Many times other merchants will bring in artifacts that need a place to be stored and kept safe.
So there you have it. If you still feel that the life of the Collector is for you and that your treasures mean more to you than their monetary wealth could ever match, you are a Collector.
