As of January 2015, a new position in the Merchant Guild has been created to promote and foster an organized and informed environment. The Guild Secretary is the single most prestigious position a Walker can hold in the Merchant Guild. It is a paid position, earning 350,000 coins per month with bonuses commensurate with level of activity. This is a permanent position contingent on successful performance reviews.

Job Description
The Guild Secretary is responsible for providing accurate and professional record-keeping for the entire Guild in matters of meeting notes, reposting the Guild information posts on Treasure Chest, and organizing mark lists for the various event winners where appropriate. Other secretarial duties include creating and distributing correspondence, maintaining various lists, and keeping the pulse on general Guild activity for the purpose of generating monthly reports.

The Guild Secretary will be given Google Docs access to all non-Guide folders and will therefore be responsible for keeping accurate and updated records of all contents. The Secretary will be entirely responsible for keeping our Docs files well organized and updated at all times.

Additionally, the Secretary will be heavily involved in the updating and maintaining of our official website (www.merchantguildtk.com). Website responsibilities may include regular posting of guild news (similar to how a NexusAtlas reporter would post news) and approving new member access.

Finally, acting as a general assistant to each Guide, the Guild Secretary will also complete any appropriate task given to them in a timely and professional manner, which may include composing and revising community event posts, as well as coordinating with other organizations where appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
* Keen attention to detail.

* Knowledge of Google Docs & Google spreadsheets required.

* Knowledge of WordPress preferred, but not required.

* High degree of efficiency and keen awareness on how to
increase efficiency of reporting and information.

* Desire to organize and maintain updated Guild information.

* Must be an active walker with a continued agenda of
service to the Guild, including treasure hunting,
event hosting, or Economist research.

* Must have the Trustworthy trader brand, Merchant staff,
and Division Recognition completed to apply.

This is a permanent position pending successful reviews, conducted by a chosen Guide or Elder. An unsuccessful review or failure to appear for a review could result in the loss of the position and the position be re-opened on the Treasure Chest for others to apply. Basically, it is required that the position holder remain active and maintain the ability to fulfill the requirements of the job.

Mail ACERA a letter of interest (no longer than 1 N-Mail) detailing expertise and experience with the qualifications and duties of the position. A review of candidates will begin immediately with live interviews to be scheduled at an appropriate time.  A final announcement will be made on Treasure Chest as soon as the successful candidate has been chosen.
