Cryptic Clues

Clever problem-solving is a critical talent for any treasure hunter. It takes a sharp mind to decipher clues and find the hidden meaning in obscure texts.

In the interests of keeping your mind sharp and your wits about you, I offer this simple test of wit.
A hardy adventurer was exploring the ruins of an old
palace. He was surprised to find the door to the
treasury wide open, with all the treasure still inside.
Excited at his good fortune, he didn’t notice the bones
laying about until he had already entered the room
and heard the doors slam shut behind him.

A series of 16 panels in the door appear to hold the key
to his escape. Upon close inspection, each of the 16
panels holds either zero, one, or two small black stones
set into it’s surface.

There is a bowl containing a several additional
stones set on a small table next to the door.
